learning to speak engrish

singac2

One of the aspects of Asia that English-speakers delight in is the profound misuse of their language.  I regularly find my daily dose of giggles through Engrish, a website cataloging all the hilarious ways in which English turns up in Asian signs, advertisements, and other printed materials.

Of course, leave it to Singapore to come up with a solution by engaging the public through prize incentives.  And of course, leave it to Singapore to have almost-perfectly grammatically correct usage, everywhere.

Needless to say, I didn’t win a netbook.  If we were in mainland China, I probably could’ve won 30.

ok, this is awesome and terrible at the same time. Asia can’t fix all of it’s Engrish, that would be a tragedy.
