A Vietnamese bakery making a fresh morning supply
As a remnant of its French colonial past, the Vietnamese bake banh mi, or baguettes, and they’re available on almost every street corner. The bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way a French baguette should be. Somehow, the banh mi doesn’t fall victim to the humidity or sweetness problem, and they do lots of wonderful things with these baguettes, like the banh mi sandwich filled with pork belly, cucumber, carrots, tomato, pate, and cilantro.

Yum!!! You won’t be disappointed in the bread options in Cambodia either – those French really took their cuisine with them. Bon app…
Oh, really? I had no idea! Now there’s another destination to add to the list, just for bread!
our family lived near a “lo banh mi” in Saigon and the smells are amazing. You’re right, it’s so hard to find the perfect crusty airy bread…
Wow, amazing. I would probably weigh a thousand pounds if I lived next door to a banh mi bakery!
