Paperless Post is a great online stationery store with beautifully-designed cards and invitations for setting the right tone for your next gathering. After the incredible spectacle of the royal wedding, take advantage of the surge of national pride and love by creating your own patriotic event! For us, we’ll be hosting an American-themed barbecue here in London the week before the 4th of July.

The great thing about Paperless Post is that there are literally hundreds of cards designed by actual design companies, elevating the e-invite from just a simple e-mail. Card designs can be tailored for everything from a baptism to an after-work drinks gathering.

For our party, we’re just having friends over for an afternoon barbecue. Do you normally organize your parties with one big group text and lots of GIFs? (Yep, I’m guilty of that). But Paperless Post’s beautifully crafted online invitation designs for a summer barbecue convinced me to make a simple summer gathering into an occasion. America, here we come!

There are other ways to make your summer garden party pop, too. Take a look at these gorgeous designs by Liberty of London, a preeminent fabric designer here in London known for its gorgeous, detailed floral prints:

Every aspect of Paperless Post’s designs are customizable; you can choose your own fonts, envelope color, envelope liner and background. Paperless Post offers these options at a small price through the purchase of coins to be used on its website. 20 coins are just $6, which gives your roughly enough to add a custom liner, backdrop or envelope for about 10 e-mailed invitations. You aren’t “charged” until you actually send out the invitations, which gives you lots of chances to play around with different liners and backgrounds to your heart’s desire.

Sending out invites is also painless. Paperless Post has a tracking page that allows you to enter your guests’ e-mails and also stores them for future use in a custom address book linked to your e-mail account. For guests who make it to your events on a regular basis, this is a great feature because you just start typing their name, and Paperless Post automatically fills in each guest’s e-mail address. Genius!

Once your invites are out, you can track guests’ responses and contact your guests all at once to send them reminders and coordinate logistics, like who’s bringing what for a potluck. That way, you don’t end up with 6 different versions of potato salad and no wine. No one likes a wine-less party, and 6 bowls of potato salad is a recipe for bloated, starch-filled tummies.

For the truly budget conscious, Paperless Post recently introduced Flyer, an easily customizable free invitation that allows you to to customize your event through the use of fonts, images and even GIFS. Guests can comment on the event and help even help you promote it by sharing a link to the flyer or posting it on social media.

With so many options and gorgeous designs, there’s no reason not to plan your next party. What are you waiting for?
