Hey! Who wants to win a FREE Keepsake Kitchen Diary by Lily & Val, the makers of hand-lettered paper goods? I hope you just raised your hand, because this little beauty is AWESOME.
A few weeks ago, Lily & Val sent me a Keepsake Kitchen Diary to check out, and guys, it is not only adorable, it’s also useful. It’s basically a heavy duty spiral notebook that’s perfect depository for all of your family recipes, whether they’re handed down through generations or — ahem — downloaded from the good ol’ Internets.
More details on how to win your own copy (a $50 value!) and photos of this gorgeous recipe keeper are after the jump.

The Keepsake Kitchen Diary is meant to be an archive of your personal recipes that you can hold on to for years to come. The spiral binding is really sturdy, and the cardboard cover is heavy and easily wiped clean with a damp paper towel. This is key for me, because I'm always touching my recipe notebooks while I'm in the middle of mixing or prepping, which leads to sticky fingerprints all over the place.
Inside, the pages are printed in beautiful hand-lettering, a signature of Lily and Val's products. The book is divided into tabbed sections for starters, soups/salads, main courses, side dishes, desserts and miscellaneous to keep your recipes organized. Each tab also has handy reference information, like ingredient substitutions, a fresh herb guide and a table for internal temperatures for roasting meat. It's SO incredibly helpful that I've actually added additional Post-It notes to mine so that I can quickly flip to these reference pages while I'm in the middle of making a meal.
The most delightful part of each recipe page is that it includes a page for "Memories," which lets you write down little notes for each time you've made your special recipe. I don't know that I'll have the diligence to do this all the time, but it's a nice way to remember important meals (and what you served) over the years.
Seriously, the hand-lettered illustrations in the Keepsake Kitchen Diary are beautiful. One of my favorites is this illustrated guide to place setting, which is useful AND pretty. Clappy hands!
