different countries, different types of cones

We used to joke around with our friends that privileged information (i.e., gossip) shared between us had to be under a “cone of silence.”  Here in Malaysia, it’s more punitive.  Reveal anyone’s secrets, and we’ll make you eat a cone of butter.

This is so entertaining…I would gain a ton if I could eat all that wonderful food for as cheap as they sell it in Malaysia. Miss you both much and I enjoy getting my daily Malayasian (food) Fix each day, compliments of the Kaufmans. Keep it coming : )

biscuitwheelssays:

David: Yes, it really is a cone of butter. Real, unadulterated butter.

Melanie: No, we didn’t eat it. It’s a cone of butter available at, not surprisingly, a toast place. We get our toast with kaya, which is a local young coconut jelly.

Kittygirl: Glad you’re enjoying the blog! I love posting on it and telling people about living here. 🙂

Courtneysays:

My Dad will squeal in delight if I promise him there’s a 4 foot butter cone somewhere in KL. Holy cow this is amazing!!

biscuitwheelssays:

Courtney: It’s at Pavilion KL at the Toast Box in the Food Court! Why they need a cone of butter that tall escapes me, but I guess if you’re making a ton of toast every day…
