shinto is japanese for nature, maybe?

Thanks to a July 4th coupon code for 20% off on all invitation supplies at Paper Source, the total for the supplies came to under $40, and in all, I spent about 3 hours designing the invitations (due to an earlier draft of an invitation design that I scrapped when I decided that flowers on both the invitation card and lining the envelopes would be way too girly for a couples shower) and less than an hour printing and making adjustments.  As always, my design program was trusty Microsoft Word and my second set of eyes was my ever-patient husband, whose masculinity is not at all threatened by my love of paper and projects.  (He looks at them while flexing his biceps and crushing beer cans against his forehead, so it’s totally okay.)
Chrissy and Brian, I hope you like your invitations!  They were super fun to make.

Ooh, that sounds great, Elsa! Let me know what people think.

I can attest that these invitations turned out great! I was concerned that if the envelopes were fully sealed people might open them at the top and we’d lose the full effect of the beautiful japanese paper lining. So I decided to open the seals (easily done since the glue stick isn’t too binding) and seal the envelopes with 3-D leaf stickers I bought at Michaels. I’ll let you know what feedback I get!
