welcome to grits & chopsticks!

Welcome!  After five years of blogging on The Gravy Train and months of hard work with Rekita of Rekita Nicole Designs, I am so excited to launch my new blog, Grits & Chopsticks. The revamp and new name are something I’ve wanted to do for awhile, and with a push from my sisters, has finally become a reality.

Grits & Chopsticks is, at its heart, the same blog as it used to be.  It’s still about food, my unhealthy obsession with it, my love for my family and our ever-moving entourage of chaos.

There are, however, some new features to this site to check out.

First, you’ll notice the sidebar has features such as my most recent recipes, popular posts, and a drop-down menu of my archives.  I’ve also added a separate recipes page with photos for each recipe.  Each recipe has been categorized and indexed for ease of future reference.  I won’t lie — organizational me got a huge kick out of spending hours upon hours putting everything in the right place.  With labels, at that.

As if that weren’t enough, thanks to the use of EasyRecipe, each one of my recipes has also been formatted in a “cookbook” style arrangement, with an easy button for you to access a print-friendly format.  I frequently print recipes so that I don’t have to put my dirty paws all over my iPad or laptop just to read the next step in a recipe.

You’ll also notice (or maybe you already have) that all of my social media networks have changed to some variation of “gritsandchopsticks” over the last month or so.   If you’ve already signed up for my blog feed through The Gravy Train, you’ve already been signed up to receive Grits & Chopsticks e-mails.  I am so excited for this change (among the many, many we’ll be undergoing in the next few weeks/months) and hope you will continue to follow along with me for the ride.  Thanks for your readership over the years!
