Almost every weekend here in Charleston is spent eating at least one big family dinner with my parents. My dad’s steamed fish with ginger and scallions is one of the best ways to eat fish, period.

The advantage to living on the coast, of course, is that we eat what we catch. The Gravy Baby hasn’t yet worked up to the art of casting yet, but we’re glad he’s learning from a master.
