My most recent write-up for Northern Virginia Magazine is about Food Corner Kabob House, a delicious Afghani kabob place with locations all over DC and Northern Virginia. The backstory on this place is that I popped in the Sunday after the hubby got back from his epic overseas business trip. He was good to me by giving me that Sunday off to get a massage, do some Christmas shopping, and most importantly, stuff my face full of kabob. I love massages, but every time I get one I always have these mental flashes of massaging my steaks before I put them on the grill. I guess it stands to reason, therefore, that there was kind of a poetic symmetry in feeling like tenderly rubbed meat and then . . . going to eat it. In any event, go get a kabob.
