I have a confession to make: I think I used to be a backwards traditionalist when it comes to grilling. For years, I’ve labored under the pretense that only the hubby could man the grill. It’s insane, I know. But during my recipe testing for the David Guas cookbook I gave away last month, I started firing up the grill on the regular because I didn’t want everything I wrote to be watered down because my girly hands wouldn’t touch the grill to actually cook the recipes. The only catch to my insistence at (wo)manning the grill myself was that the electric starter on our gas grill was (and still is) broken. Every time I went to light our grill, I had to turn on all the burners, stick a wand lighter down into the grates, say a prayer and hope I didn’t singe my eyebrows off. Once I got that baby fired up though, whoo, buddy … talk about some serious adrenaline. I haven’t stopped grilling since. I’m kind of obsessed.
Today I’m presenting a summer grilling recipe roundup from around the interwebs, including right here at Grits & Chopsticks. I tried to include some of the tastiest little bits of everything, from starters to main courses to even dessert. What are your go-to summer grilling recipes?
