After my groom and I finished our first Gocco project, we turned our attention to the other details for our wedding.  I have to pause here and make two points.  First, if you think you might like Gocco’ing, maybe, oh, say, your wedding invitation is a little bit too ambitious for a first-time Gocco’er, like I was when we embarked on Loco Gocco-A-Thon 2K9.  Next time, try Gocco’ing something smaller to start, like, I don’t know, a toothbrush cover.  Secondly, if you decide that you do want to Gocco your wedding invites, marry a patient, loving, and relatively strong man.  A key to my success as a Gocco’er was entirely due to the use of my man’s biceps to help me print all but about 8% of the wedding paper goods I designed.

In any event, I fell in love with my Print Gocco, so for that I commend the Japanese, even if their inventions also sometimes skew towards the wacky.

Below, some of the other paper goods and other projects that made it to our wedding.  First off, I made  the cake plates pictured below using a flower pot and a platter from IKEA and the little placards for our dessert table, which had 6 desserts from bakeries around South Carolina (mostly Charleston, but also a bakery in my hometown of Greenville that has been the purveyor of cakes for every special occasion in my family for the past 20 years):
