good appetite for the future

bkgac1

Over the weekend, we left our cozy little pied-a-terre to check out Bookfest Malaysia and ended up buying mostly Chinese-English books for the Gravy Baby.  We’re hoping that he’ll grow up to be somewhat bilingual, like me, but when we got home I realized that most of the books we bought to teach him Chinese are food vocabulary books.

Well, I can settle for him being a bilingual eater, at least.  As long as we have our he has his priorities straight.

Amysays:

Hey, this boy’s gong gong’s Japanese vocabulary consists entirely of food words. Nothing wrong with that.

Little Maosays:

If it makes you feel better, everything else but food can be learned in class. They don’t teach you that in college.

And congratulations!

biscuitwheelssays:

Amy: that’s true. Also, don’t forget Gong Gong knows a few Japanese folk songs. Very important for karaoke.

Little Mao: thank you! And you’re right — he won’t learn food in class.
