This happened last night at our house

Hoo, buddy.  It’s been a doozy of a month over here. Right after Thanksgiving, the hubby went overseas for 3 weeks on a work trip and we all got colds, followed by a stomach bug, while he was away. He finally came home last week, and we’ve all been basically glued by his side since then. No, really, I mean it. The poor man can’t step two feet from us without one of us “flopping” on top of him (that’s Ge Ge’s word for it). Anyway, it was an especially sweet Christmas this year once we were all reunited and healthy again, and last night we had a dinner for the ages with old friends of ours. Years ago, before kids, we used to cook elaborate meals together, drink wine and talk about nothing for hours. Nowadays, we rush to fit conversations into kid-friendly spurts while we chase the littles around. It’s a different kind of fun, but fun all the same.

Hope you’ve found your joy this holiday season. I’ll be back next week with more.
