We’re biding some time in Hong Kong, and pictured above is our room at the W – yes, that is Hong Kong Harbour you see in the background. I clapped my hands and laughed when we walked in.

These are char siu (barbecued) pork puff pastries. They’re sweet and savory, and I greet them every time I come to Hong Kong like a long-lost relative.
Oh, Hong Kong, I’ve missed you so.

Stephanie, I feel so vindicated right now, kind of like the time in 2002 that I called it (ask Amy). The 3rd season is the best. Smash’s road back to A&M? Street’s start in New York as an agent? I’m just glad you’re finally, finally on board.
And Laura — I’m not sure what the internet situation will be once we get to KL, but yes, for now, I’m keeping you in the loop!
Apropos of nothing, I’m two eps from being done with season 3 of FNL, and again I ask you: WHY HAVE I NOT BEEN WATCHING THIS SHOW!? It’s so friggin good. I cried three times last nite. ME! Steezy! I’m dead inside!
ann! every time i sign on to google reader, there’s another post from you! and i’m like, isn’t ann supposed to be moving across the world? thanks for not keeping us in the lurch while you do so. =)
I’m so happy and so sad all at the same time.
And, yes, it totally would have been worth it for me to fly over there just for the HK overnight.
Oh, I dream about those pork pastries. They haunt me like a long-lost lover.
Those pork pastries were just as I remembered them — they hugged me with their warm flaky goodness!
