Major cities in Kuala Lumpur can now call on Food Panda to deliver from their favorite restaurants in the area. Delivery can be as low as RM 4 (just around $1.30 US). Tristan, the restaurant where we got married nearly five years ago, is closing this April. Besides being utterly broken-hearted, I’m also concocting a plan to eat Chef Whiting’s delicious hay-smoked, housemade pasta every week until then (budget and diet notwithstanding, of course).

Even though it’s not the hubby’s favorite, the kids and I have been inhaling this kale pesto — it’s easy to make and chock full of healthy, good stuff (I mean, besides the oodles of Parmesan, but that hardly counts when it’s made of raw sheep’s milk, right?)

I didn’t start using crispy shallots regularly until we lived in Malaysia — and this recipe is so easy, with a great suggestions to use them as a burger garnish.

A solid addition to the Charleston Asian food scene (which is, quite frankly, a desert wasteland); we went for Chinese New Year and had stellar scallion pancakes, Shanghai stir-fried noodles and sauteed eggplant (the other dishes were a little salty for our taste).
