visitors, by the numbers

A smorgasbord of the places we’ve seen with our many visitors, including Petronas Towers, temples in Chinatown, the Prosperity Fountain at Pavilion KL, and the elephants at Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary

I’m so excited to see our friends and family in just a few weeks!  Even though it seems like forever since we saw them last, many of them have actually made the loooong trip over to see what it’s like in our neck of the woods.  I broke it down by the numbers today, just for fun:

Our arrival to Malaysia: August 19, 2009

First visitors arrived: September 11, 2009

Last visitors left: May 8, 2011

Total number of visitors: 39 (seriously!)

Shortest time between visits: less than 24 hours

Longest visit: 1 month (my Chinese confinement “lady”)

Shortest visit: 2 days

Number of continents visitors came from to reach us: 4 (Africa, Europe, North America and Asia)

Number of U.S. states visitors came from to reach us: 7

Number of returning visitors: 6

Most number of visits by a single visitor (thanks, sister Angel!): 3

Furthest distance traveled to reach Kuala Lumpur: 9,538 (from Washington, DC)
