The view of Angkor Wat from the side entrance, also known as the “elephant entrance,” because that’s where the king used to enter. On an elephant.
Last week we took a three-day weekend to visit Siem Reap, Cambodia, one of the larger cities in the country and the jumping-off point to Angkor Wat. Angkor is actually a region of Cambodia that served as the ancient capital, and there are over two hundred temples and ancient structures dotting the countryside.

Wow. Especially the one with the faces. In the meantime, I enjoyed a daily, scenic drive from Dallas to Plano.
Tara: but I bet you bliss out to some serious “Party in the USA” on that drive, which is super fun.
JT: Definitely add Siem Reap. We loved, loved, loved it!
Looks awesome. I’m contemplating a Laos trip in the next few years; maybe I’ll tack on Siem Riep since I’ve always wanted to go there.
Dallas to Plano, San Francisco to San Jose…think of all you are missing, biscuit.
Merp: there’s some serious road being traversed Stateside, isn’t there?
