wish you were here!

Last month I made postcards to send to our friends and family back home.  We missed the boat on holiday cards this year in part because of my unexpected trip back to the U.S. in November, so the hubby and I debated whether New Year’s cards would make it to the States before February.  If we were too delinquent, I was worried that not only would our notes be untimely, but that we’d look like complete slackers.

Ultimately, we played it safe with a little greeting from our neck of the woods.

For these, I found a free clipart sketch of Patronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, perhaps the city’s most recognizable landmark, and made this little design on my computer.   Then, I whipped out my trusty Gocco screenprinting machine and cranked out a hundred or so of these one afternoon while the hubby was recovering from a cold.

I mailed these a few weeks ago, so hopefully one will find its way to you in the next couple of weeks!
